THE podcast Celebrating the world’s greatest gamefish. And the stories that surround it.
What are the tarpon diaries? HowardFilms brought Tarpon to a national audience for the first time with numerous television specials. It all launched with the award-winning Chasing Silver series in the Florida Keys. Today, we’re building off of that legacy with new stories from the fishing logs of guides, biologists and legends around the world.
A storytelling-driven podcast that brings the fishing log to life—sharing unforgettable encounters with tarpon, bonefish, permit, and other iconic flats species. Through immersive stories and expert insight, the show explores the science behind these fish—their lifecycles, migration patterns, and fragile habitats—often challenging what anglers think they know.
More than a fishing chat podcast, The Tarpon Diaries is a platform for conservation. Each episode connects personal experience on the water with the broader responsibility to protect these species, offering listeners clear, practical ways to ensure these fish continue to swim for generations to come.
At its core, the series blends adventure, education, and stewardship—uniting anglers, conservationists, and coastal communities around a shared commitment to the future of the flats. It's an honor to share the stories across the world, and for you to share your time with us. From Africa to North America the best moments are shared. In honor of that time at the end of the day when the beers are out, and the rods are up, and the heads are still shaking.
