| In 1947 skiing's allure was hard to explain to anyone not on the mountain. That year Warren Miller began capturing the magic of skiing with a Bell and Howell camera and produced his first film Steep and Light. In 1966, the ethereal magic of surfing was still impossible to explain to anyone off the water. That year, Bruce Brown brought his Endless Summer to the screen. Half a century later, ski and surf films entertain us in beach and mountain cafes, on TV, in theaters and at home in our living rooms. |
